1. praying in the presence of our children

2. explaining to them why we pray

3. letting them pick out their 'special' prayer mat

4. showing them the direction t pray and explaining this with pictures of the ka'bah

5. giving them a compass to find the qiblah

6. praying in a group. as a family or with other children

7. encouraging and praising them when they do pray, even if it is not perfect.
